♞ Agora Deck Breakdown
Hey Persuaders!

Today, we are going to look at this seed deck from Agora used to raise $6M.
I would have preferred an opening slide that gives me a chance to understand what the company does but this might be a mission statement that speaks to a specific type of investor they are targeting.

Great perspective framer here to give investors the big picture and create the framework within which the rest of the deck can be interpreted.

Early team slide in a seed deck isn’t very common but they seem to have a strong team and complemented it with some social proof.

This deck is really pushing a vitamin, not a painkiller, so the focus is on the potential and upside more than the problem, which is a unique type of deck that isn’t right for most people.

Using a roadmap like this is something that should be exclusively for companies that aren’t pitching an immediate problem they are solving. All other companies should pitch a short-term goal (to get you to your next round) and a long-term goal (what it will look like when you get to your big vision). Roadmaping your way to the long-term goal is something you can only do if you don’t have that shorter term problem to solve.
