♞ Edgify Deck Breakdown

Hey Persuaders!

In partnership with

Today, we will look at a Seed deck from Edgify used to raise $6.5M.

This is a unique opening slide as they try to list their value propositions instead of focusing on a core benefit through a one-liner. I don’t personally like this; it feels too busy and unfocused, but the idea of hitting the ground running right from the start is a winning strategy. Don’t waste your opening slide.

There isn’t a perspective framer here but when you have a “novel” innovation like this that people can immediately see the benefit of (like ChatGPT) leading with the tech and how impressive it is can work wonders.

I love this slide; it's so simple and clean to show how novel technology can be practically applied to provide immediate benefits to a business.

This slide seems built for customers (stores) rather than investors. It would be better to change the language here to really show why these are things that investors should care about. I also would have put the environmental play on a separate slide so that both points hit more effectively.

These types of “how will life look” slides are amazing, they help show the world before and after your company making it obvious to investors, customers and partners what value you provide to society.

This slide is unique to the company, but I like this idea of really demonstrating step-by-step how people (specifically your customers) will benefit over time from your product/service. Most startups just claim their product will help; this shows how.

Many founders don’t understand the keyword "friction." This is a perfect example of a product that reduces friction in an industry. Once you start pitching yourself as reducing friction, you open up a whole new way of convincing investors that you can succeed without unseating existing solutions.
