♞ IRLY Deck Breakdown
Hey Persuaders!
Today, we are going to look at this pre-seed deck from IRLY used to raise $350k.
I love this first slide; it shares the brand image, a clear statement of what they do and the company name.
This is a great narrative slide if you are opening a full narrative deck. These decks are rare but can be very powerful when done correctly.

If you don’t have an MVP, then showing something else that helps to set you apart from anyone who might just have an idea and try to raise. It’s also well blended into the deck as it both provides some evidence of product/market fit and shows what the market is currently so that they can pitch themselves in contrast to the existing solutions.
Bringing additional evidence to back up the statements in the slide above and providing a perspective framer in a single slide is very powerful.
This is an unnecessary slide for a deck that will be emailed out, but it can be important when you are pitching. It gives you a slide where the focus will be on you, and you can dive into a story.

Clear solution slide that makes it very easy to understand what is going on and how the product will work. This is one of the few slides combining product and solutions and works well.
Standard simple market slide here; they shouldn’t have killed the narrative; I would have liked to see it continue through this slide.
These “Features” slides aren’t necessary. You don’t need to exclude them, but I’d try to avoid them. In the deck you email, they can cause investors to fill in too many gaps themselves instead of relying on booking a call to learn more. In a pitch, they can be a distraction from the overall story. It’s better to say the key features as part of your story but avoid actually making a slide.
This type of slide needs to be much earlier in the deck (or right at the end).
I hate that they used “proposed,” but it’s a great slide otherwise.
