When fundraising, there are always certain key metrics that every founder must know by heart. These are the numbers that most investors will need to know before they fully commit to any investment.
While I know that the best pitches don’t rely on data but instead prioritize storytelling. When asked questions after the pitch, your story can fall apart quickly if you don’t have the requisite data to present.
So here are the key metrics you should know:

Seed Round
Burn Rate - Your net cash flow each month.
Runway - How many more months can you keep going at your current burn rate?
Customers/Subscribers - How many people are using your product/service?
Churn - What percentage of your customers leave you within a billing period?
Product/Market Fit - What percentage of your customers say that they can’t live without your product?
MR/MRR - How much do you make per month?
Growth Rate - How much is your revenue increasing month over month?
Series A
Sales Cycle - How long does it take you to make a sale?
CAC - How much does it cost to acquire a new customer?
CLTV - How much do you make on average per customer you acquire?
Customer Break Even Time/CAC Payback - How long does it take you to break even on a customer after you acquire them? (Or at least how long does it take you to recoup your CAC?)
AR/ARR - How much do you make per year?
