♞ Okteto Deck Breakdown
Hey Persuaders!

Today, we will look at a Series A deck from Okteto used to raise $15M.
This is a great opening slide. The one-liner here makes it very clear what the company does and provides the baseline information that investors need to understand the rest of your deck.

This is a mix of social validation of their technology and a perspective framer (by showing how they help those companies). It’s not a regular second slide but it hits most of the checkmarks while providing a wow factor that can draw in investors.

Hire the highest quality overseas talent with Oceans.
Our offshore talent has more impressive resumes than your employees. Seriously.
Most outsourced firms can’t source the type of EA who can work with a $100M executive, but Oceans can. Our EAs take over all of your backend admin and operational work, so you can focus on what actually matters: scaling your business.
Work with the firm that sources the right-hand to Morning Brew, Beehiiv, and Magic Spoon.
Get full-time, highly experienced talent for only $3,000/month.
This is the other half of the perspective framer; this still works well to ensure that investors have the entire backstory to your industry and the problem that you are looking to solve.

This is a clear problem slide that leverages the rule of threes. Jumping into the problem slide here in the 4th slide is perfect; they have used the first three slides to set the stage and provide social validation, and now they are presenting the enemy they are going to slay.

This reads more as a solution slide. It is meant to show what they will provide as value to the consumer. I don’t mind the way they presented it as “what companies want” before diving into the “solution” on the next slide.

This slide is more of a “product” slide as it shows how they will implement the “solutions” that they mentioned in the previous slide.
