Today, we will look at a pre-seed deck from Perform used to raise $1.2M.

This is a great opening slide; it has the basics (name, logo, one-liner). It effectively communicates what the company does, the screenshot is simple and welcoming and the images provide some level of social proof by showing that their users are winners.

Leading with the team is bold but can be a great strategy at the pre-seed level where its’s one of the most important elements for investors. The design and format are something that other founders should copy. It quickly and effectively communicates the most important aspects of each person’s background.

These types of graphs always do well. Personally, I don’t see a need to have both customers and revenue growth; it actually makes it look less impressive as the graph appears more linear than exponential. If I were advising them, I’d say to stick to revenue or separate this into two slides.

This is a simple problem and they provide the evidence to show why solving it can also solve a larger problem of people being unable to stick to their running (health) goals.

This second problem slide is disconnected from the first. Personally I would have stuck with just the one problem slide here.

A simple solution slide that leverages the rule of threes to communicate the primary selling points of the new products (Accountability, Personalization, Affordability).

This is a good high-level market slide, but they really should dive more deeply into how much of the market they can capture, at what rate, why and how.
