What are the key steps in pitching your company?
When writing your pitch deck, there are three macro categories that each slide should fit into:
Internal - This is information about your company
External - This is information about your market
Financial - This is information about your current funding round
Today we are going to talk about some of the key points you need to hit when you pitch your company as part of that first internal macro category of slides.

Have a problem that hurts - You need to ensure that investors can feel the pain that your clients do. This can be accomplished by drawing parallels for them or tying the specific problem to a large societal problem that they can relate to.
Show the value - Demonstrate the value proposition of your product by demonstrating (i) how it solves the problem and (ii) how customers feel after they have your solution. The former is more theoretical, allowing investors to conceptually understand the solution, the second is practical and should involve a demo, story or customer testimonial to help investors connect to the feeling evoked by the solution.
Explain your Clients - Who are they? How much do they pay? Where are they located? How can you reach them? Understanding who your core clients are is key to understanding who you are serving.
Demonstrate Why You Are the Best Team - What experience do you have in business? What has prepared you to solve this problem? What experience do you have in this market? Have you started a company before? Have you managed before? You need to convince investors that you are the best team to execute this business.
Explain your Growth - How many new customers are you getting? How long to they stay? How much do they spend? Allow investors to see how you are growing and why that will continue.
