Do you need a roadmap slide?
No. A roadmap slide is not a requirement for a pitch deck. You need a slide outlining what you will do with the money (typically your ask slide), but you don’t need a specific roadmap slide.

What you’ve accomplished so far - Most founders start their roadmap slide at the present day. This is a massive mistake. It makes it seem as if the road begins where you are today. You don’t give yourself credit for the work you’ve done. By having your achievements in your roadmap, you get to paint a picture of where you started, what you’ve accomplished and what you’ll do next. It gives you an active tone and makes it seem like you are already on your path to success.
What you plan to do with the funds raised - This is what investors really want to see. They want to know exactly how you will spend their funds and what it will get them. What milestones will you hit with the funds raised?
Long-term goals - What do you ultimately plan to accomplish? What are the longer-term goals that you will hit in 5-10 years? These need to be included to inject the vision into the roadmap and complete the picture that you painted earlier in your deck when discussing the problem/solution.
