Hey Persuaders!
Today, we will look at a seed deck from Sora used to raise $2.7M.
A very common mistake on the cover slide is that they use their marketing slogan for the one-liner instead of writing something specifically targeted at investors.
This is an amazing perspective framer. It could be improved by hiring someone specializing in fundraising, but this is incredibly well done for a deck that wasn’t created by one of the top 5-10 pitchers. Follows advice from my newsletters or a similar source of expertise.
Ease into investing
“Ease” being the key word. With automated tools like portfolio rebalancing and dividend reinvestment, Betterment makes investing easy for you, and a total grind for your money.
Overall, this deck is great; this is the only mistake. A perspective framer doesn’t replace a problem. You still need a problem slide that very clearly states in one sentence the problem you are solving.
This is similar to the “Why Now” slide that I teach. Again, I’d be surprised if they didn’t use my materials or someone similar; this is exceptionally well done and something you could use as a template.

This type of big-picture problem is best to put early in the deck (slide 3 before the problem and after the perspective framer), but putting it soon after the solution also works (just less effectively).
This is an excellent product slide that does an incredible job of communicating what the value proposition is. Leveraging the rule of threes is smart here. Easily can takeaway that they are personalized, multimodal and self-paced.
