Poor cover slide, doesn’t tell me anything—complete waste of space.

I personally don’t like slides like this; it kills the story and makes the entire deck pointless. From personal experience, I can say that 90% of the time, when a slide like this appears in the deck, it is also the last one I read. I’ve got the information I need, so there is no reason to spend more time. If you want to take that gamble, you can, but for most founders it’s a losing bet.

I like that they put the team early in the deck; the investment here really is in the team. It’s great that they recognized that and gave it prominent placement.

The problem slide had to come here. This insight is an attempt at storytelling in a deck that has already chosen a path that ruins the story. It’s a poor choice.

Here is that problem slide, and it is good. Especially given the background of the team, there is weight to this problem slide, and the value in fixing the problem can easily be seen.

I like that they address this directly. I wouldn’t do it the same way, but this would be the question that is top of mind for any investor, so tackling it is smart.

To me, this isn’t enough of a differentiator to make much sense. It’s also weird that this is our first introduction to the solution/product, and it really isn’t telling me anything about the solution or product.

Not sure what the point of this slide is.

This means nothing at all, you can’t just draw a bunch of huge markets and claim you have the chance to capture them.

Seems to misunderstand who they are competing with fundamentally.
