The opening slide of your deck should always have some indication of what you are doing. It’s wasted real estate not to use this slide to pitch your company. You have an investors attention so take advantage!

This is a great perspective framer. As someone who has done lots of work in public markets, I know personally that this is a massive issue. It’s allowing companies and large funds to control our companies. Too many people dump their money into stocks then don’t vote their shares.

A simple way of explaining what they do. I wish the visuals were more directly related to the text. It’s difficult to really grasp what the product is just from these screenshots.

This is a good explainer slide that clearly shows how they benefit and work with all different parties involved in the industry from investors to companies.

This is a vision slide more than a market/opportunity slide. They are selling a vision for the future, not explaining how big the market is. For me personally this is also a misstep, its easier to get the 6% of people who own shares to vote than it is to get the 94% who don’t to buy shares so that they can vote.

This is a slide that is often missing. You need to show where you’ve come from. Being able to demonstrate to investors that you aren’t at a standstill waiting for money to get started but have actually accomplished things and are on your way to $1B+ is vital for getting them to want to invest.

Social proof is another key ingredient in a successful pitch!

Once you’ve shown what you’ve done, showing what you will do in a clear and organized way can make investors more comfortable as they know exactly how their money will be spent.
