I hate this; it’s a waste of a slide and tells me nothing about what the company does. My first guess would be a search engine. Don’t ever have a slide in your deck that doesn’t contribute to the story. Especially not the first slide, which is the only one you know everyone who reads the deck will see.

This isn’t a perspective framer, it’s a one-liner. It should have been on the previous slide, and this should be a perspective framer. The design also isn’t great (not easy to read). So two slides in, already stressed from trying to read this slide, and I have the same information that a good deck would have shared in the first 7 seconds without any effort on my part. This stuff seems small, but when investors see 2000+ decks a year, it makes a huge difference.

This is a really good slide; the design is clear, and the rule of threes is used.

This is fine, but the three “solutions” don’t cleanly match the three “problems,” which isn’t ideal. That small change would make a huge impact.

These are solid metrics. Personally, I’d avoid saying you are in a beta; data shows that it drastically reduces your chances of raising (making it about 5 times harder), so just say you have launched. If they have problems with the platform, say that you are in the process of iterating and scaling.

Great slide. Highlighting two things investors really care about: users and engagement.

This is amazing. Investors want to know that you know your target audience, and these guys have nailed that. This is something more companies could benefit from doing.

Again, really good, they don’t just understand who their target is but they understand why they are there.

This is a great story they are telling, they have the who, what, when, why and now they finish off with where. I love this.

Simple but no issues.

This is could have been done much better but at this stage investors have already made a decision most likely so its’s not fatal. But this slide does come across as lazy.

Excellent points they chose to highlight.
