How to Win in the AI World

In today’s world, technology has made it so easy to create new products and ideas that I believe almost every product and service has become a commodity.

AI is a prime example. ChatGPT was released just eight months ago, and in that time, there have been 10,000+ AI startups in different niches, all with some level of traction. Twenty years ago, building software and getting traction was the holy grail earning you millions in VC funding to scale. Today anyone can do it.

The only thing that will set businesses apart in the future is their brand, corporate narrative and storytelling. This has allowed Apple, Tesla and Amazon to become the companies they are today. Apple has never and will never have the best hardware or software (at least not at the best value for money). The iPod had 10x less storage than other MP3 players when it was released, it was also one of the most returned items at Best Buy due to software/hardware errors, but the idea of “1000 songs in your pocket” made it the market leader.
